The Birlas, Goenkas, Ruias, Singhanias, are among the top business groups of India. They are the famous marwaris from Rajasthan. The people of Rajasthan are of course, a lot more than the popular marwari. The term marwari is used rather sweepingly over a diverse set of people.
Rajasthanis are strong, jolly and simple folks divorced by the swift pace of modern times making Rajasthan a land of rich culture and tradition.
Colourful and Ornamental
From the tribal or simple village folk to the ranis and rajas, the preferred colors are dazzling yellow, bright red, brilliant orange or lively green, highlighted by the use of sparkling silver and gold gota or zari.
Nomadic and tribal women have passion for silver jewellery (men too wear ear studs and earrings).
The ornaments worn by these people have age-old designs. Delicate designs of Rajasthan Jewelry are a passion not among the ladies of India but also among the women of foreign countries.
