Sariska Tiger Reserve was developed in 1978. The present area of the Reserve is 866 sq. km. The park covers rather a large area of 800 square kilometers, 480 square kilometers of which form the center area of the national park.Sariska Tiger Reserve lie in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. The park is home to numerous carnivores including Leopard, Wild Dog, Civets Hyena, Jackal, and Tiger. These feed on species such as Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Chausingha, Wild Boar and Langur.
